Terms of use

Last updated October 12, 2026. They apply to the website and to the ChainRegistry apps for iOS and Android.

What the registry is

ChainRegistry lists cryptocurrencies with prices, market figures and history read from the public APIs of the exchanges that trade them, plus profiles and a community where members post and vote. Everything is informational. Nothing on the site or in the apps is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, an offer to buy or sell anything, or a recommendation. Prices come from third-party exchanges and can be late, incomplete or wrong; always check with the venue before you trade. You use the registry at your own risk and the registry is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Keep your password to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility. You can edit your profile, change your password, and delete your account together with everything it posted at any time from the account page or from the app's Account screen. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

The community

Posts, replies, votes and suggested corrections are user-generated content and the responsibility of the member who writes them. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members. You agree not to post anything that is unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, misleading, spam, a scam or giveaway solicitation, someone else's private information, or that infringes someone's rights, and not to impersonate anyone or use the community to manipulate markets.

Every post and reply can be reported to the moderators, and any member can block any other member so that nothing the blocked member writes is shown to them. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and members who break them are banned, at the registry's sole discretion and without notice. Posts and replies may also be refused automatically when they contain language that is not allowed.

Licence

You keep the rights to what you write; by posting it you give ChainRegistry a worldwide, royalty-free licence to show it on the website and in the apps for as long as it stays posted. The registry's own data, marks and design may be quoted with attribution but not republished in bulk or passed off as your own.

Changes and contact
