Monero is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency: ring signatures, stealth addresses and confidential amounts hide the sender, receiver and value of every transaction by default. It launched on 18 April 2014 and is mined with RandomX, an algorithm designed for ordinary CPUs. A small tail emission keeps paying miners forever.
